Lay preaching and speaking

I am available for on-line or on site talks, sermons, and to lead interfaith services, as well as Christian services in traditions/churches that embrace lay preaching. Regarding subjects for talks, my themes include lovingkindness, insights from Buddhism for Christians, and the role and reality of angels, however I am happy to consider any proposed topic, including preparing sermons to suit church lectionaries.

I will liaise with organisers well ahead of the event to understand their expectations, familiar formats and elements of their services or events, and particular terminology or world views that are appropriate for the congregation.

I will then propose an outline for the talk or service, incorporate any revisions that organisers think necessary, and if appropriate, liaise with music directors, church wardens, or others who may play a role in facilitating the event.

Excepting cover for my travel expenses, I don't charge for this service. However, I welcome a voluntary contribution for my time at a level the organiser feels appropriate and affordable to the congregation.
