World Labyrinth Day – Walking Together on Insight Timer

World Labyrinth Day is an annual event organised by The Labyrinth Society and partner organizations to celebrate the meditative practice of labyrinth walking.

Join me this year on Insight Timer for an opportunity to "walk" together. I'll say a few words about labyrinths and their appeal, then will open space as you may wish to connect with the energy of a labyrinth displayed on screen, or alternatively to download, print off and follow this beautiful paper labyrinth, known as "the World Peace Labyrinth" (originally designed by acclaimed labyrinth builder John Ridder for the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics).

The labyrinth is a single path that leads anyone who walks it toward a centre. They are found in many parts of the world, are enjoyed by many cultures, and have a long history. Absolutely no experience is needed to walk one! While many large labyrinths can be physically walked by simply putting one foot of the other and following the path, labyrinths followed with a finger or a pencil provide a similarly absorbing experience. Insight Timer is a popular app, available to download for free for both Android and iOS platforms via the Google Play or iTunes stores.

Once installed, to join the walk, simply click on the app to search what is livestreaming at the time of the meditation. "World Labyrinth Day – Walking Together" should be easy to find. While I will appear on screen and will guide the meditation, you won't be seen or heard, but can share comments in the chat dialog that stays live throughout the call. I hope that you'll join me and other precious souls to enjoy this beautiful meditation together!
